I've deserted my DA a bit haven't I? =S Well here's the goss in the world of Chisa.


My boyfriend got a graduate position in Canberra, and now we've moved here! Currently we're staying in a serviced apartment until we can find a place to rent. Despite what people told me before moving here (mostly along the lines of 'Canberra is a hole, there's nothing to do there', I'm actually enjoying it here so far. The summer is much milder than Perth's extreme heat, there's less traffic and there does in fact seem to be no shortage of good places to eat and shop. There's no IKEA, but there are THREE Krispy Kremes here! Take that Perth! Pity I don't really like Krisy Kremes...

In my two days in Canberra so far I'd say it's a pretty decent place to live, and I think I'll be quite happy here. Of course that may change when it gets to the chilly winter...


New city, new job. I actually applied to and was offered a few jobs, but have decided to take this as an opportunity to start freelancing full time. I've been doing patches of freelance work in my spare time for the past few months, and was pretty much at the point of too much work, too little time by the end of the year. I hope I'll find enough to sustain me now that that's the only real income I have!

So far the web industry people I know, especially in Canberra, have been really kind and supportive of my decision to freelance and have been helping me out with finding work and answering my questions. I really would not have been able to make this leap without the help of these people, as well as my friends and boyfriend
